Some words from Talib Kweli to accompany a photo:
Yo,
You can tell when people wanna spend they life together
Despite the weather
They treat each other like a treasure
Can't fight forever
You got to give it up
I ain't got a lot of time
We got to live it up
I make my images like I make my love
People use it like they take they drugs
In the morning
When they waking up
This music got me out late but
I holla at you when I'm done
Don't stay up
Will love play with us?
It sting like paper cuts
Doused in alcohol
But if it's real
They ain't no greater rush
I got faith in us
It's only you who really know me
I be surrounded by people
And still feel lonely

I modified the "make my images part"
Talib Kweli ft. Kendra Ross - Won't You Stay
Nothing to do with my life currently , just some amazing lyrics that's all
enjoy

Flat Love
Been shooting alot more Oakland vs. the City these days cause it has so much more visual appeal and basically, i have a job to do when it comes to reppin' my neighborhood.
I'll be out again this afternoon grabbin that magic hour over the streets and people of Oakland CA.
I wanna give a shout to Kyla Herbes at www.kylaisaphotographer.com for the kind words on my work and for taking the time to follow my site and my life's words.

Thank you all so much for your continual support.

Bacon
I must have tripped over him about 3 years ago and ever since i have followed his work , envied his skill and been inspired to no limit by his images. Conway Liao is a bay area native that is currently livin' it up in Brooklyn NY gettin his school on. He just got back from a trip to tibet, shanghai & Beijing with some of the most epic stills and videos i have yet to see. You can peep out what i'm talkin' about at www.minimalcozy.com , his Flickr where he just recently posted some incredible new work. He stays madd humble about his talent and that's one thing i admire most about this cat.
Much respect out to you Bro
Here are some East 14th shots i have knocked down in the last 2 days in good old Oakland.
PS- I was also very fortunate to be a part of Trevor Traynors photographer interview section on his blog which you can check out at www.ishooteverything.com

The Day After Yesterday
I woke today, something was missing and i didn't know. I showered and dressed , drove some and worked some , made calls , grabbed some lunch. I dropped off some film and paid some bills , thought about so many in my life , and those who are not , called my mom. Listened to some Rea & Christian , a little Annie Lennox , read for a bit , cleaned up the place. Went out for some dinner and sipped me a brew , said a prayer , strolled down 40 blocks of East 14th, Opened and closed my shutter , made some strangers new friends. spell checked , attached and sent , enjoyed the moon over Oakland and cold night air through my windowless automobile , helped a stranded Basketball player jumpstart his car, Linked with a good friend and met yet another soon to be , heard the sweetest voice on my cellular, made some tea , watched a flick i had never seen , couldn't sleep , scanned the first photo i ever took of her and low and behold it is now the day after yesterday and i found what was missing.

This sort of things happens from time to time i suppose.

With the 4th of july on the rise i decided to post some images from a visit to Huntington Beach CA a few years ago. It was a crazy time and i was surrounded by great friends and lots of laughs, the way life should be.
Shouts to Megan , Stef and the rest of the San Diego/Huntington Beach posse...your very much missed!

It's funny how i know none of the people in these images

Richmond Hills
Here's a very simple post about a very incredible person by the name of Crystal Dawn Davis. I met Crystal after moving to Oakland and she is nothing short of an ideal friend. These shots were taken a little over a week ago when me and her finally got the chance to take a nice walk through the hills of Richmond together. She has basically connected me with 80% of the folks in my second book and has opened so many doors by doing so. I am forever grateful to have her as my friend and i will miss her as she is starting a new chapter in her life over the pacific in Kona HI.

Thank you Cikee!

Sac 1.5
Here are some steals i grabbed from Sacramento in October of 06' when i first moved out to the bay. I love going through my archives an diggin' out earlier shots cause it shows me how much i have grown in such a short time and how my vision has evolved a bit.

I had a fantastic time this past weekend from Saturdays Bird Flu show featuring Amanda Lopez, Leo Docuyanan ,Shane Nash , Scott La Rockwell , Austin Mcmanus and Trevor Traynor to Spending a lovely afternoon with miss Jenni Tay.
I actually have my First wedding this weekend and should prove to be quite interesting from me perspective.
stay blessed and have a great week ya'll

Laura Croft is dead
Now this right here is a first for my blog and it's something i never thought i would post because it has nothing at all to do with photography. I somehow find it ok to blog it at this very moment and will probably regret it later but, i grew up a Nintendo kid what can i say ?. By no means am i "mr super into video games" but, i rock a PS3 and still find the same enjoyment playing it as i did when i was dodging oil in spy hunter or snakes in pit fall.
With all that being said i'm kinda excited about this little action game developed by A2M interestingly entitled "Wet" . It hasn't been released yet but, i look forward to gettin some game time in when it does.
Awkward post i know but, i have grown to appreciate cinematography alot more recently and i think that this game possesses some kick ass imagery and cinematic crazyness!
Below are some insane stills courtesy of IGN.COM and Rubi is her name.

It's nice to post something different from time to time
