Final Home
I've been listening to alot more peaceful electronic music lately...waldek,dntel,beth orton, frost, alias & tarsier,
dj krush,ebtg,milosh,costansa,josh wink.
It's nothing new to me but, sometimes i get so wrapped up in hip hop that i forget that my background in the early 90's was always a strong mix of skinny puppy, frontline assembly, ministry & einsturzende neubauten.
I just have a thing for a strong synth/beats plus piano chords along side some beautiful female vocals! (nothing beats a womans voice to set your mind at ease)
from early industrial to late 90's D&B ..i've always been a fan.it's good to take it back sometimes and open up some old memories and thoughts.
Kinda makes me wanna hop an Amtrak with headphones tightly wrapped around my head thinking the days away and not looking back.

I love connecting with new people and this project has given me the opportunity to do just that.
picked up that new Zion I tonight...aaaamazing as i thought it would be.

Im also very suprised by a comment i got from one of my recent posts. It's like it always makes me feel good when i get compliments on my work but, when it makes such a strong impact on someone to the point where they feel connected with me or how i feel thur my images ..now that is intense.
It's almost like theres no need for words
and i like that

There
Today, was part great day ... part not so great day.I had a slow start and was feelin' a lil' groggy from friday night (stayed up way too late) rushed over to SF to meet with two very amazing people who i could not complete my book without. Mike Boo bay area Turntablist/Scratch maniac and Jenn Porreca an epic folklore artist who are such good people and i am blessed to know them both. These people are complete inspirations to me and i so badly wanted to spend more of my day with them.Jenn! can we make plans to kick it again?
Afterwards, i was to meet up with Vanae Tran who is an amazing source of positivity and inspiration thru her self/relationship help. She holds her degree in Communication and Psychology and thru the power of networking i stumbled over her channel on you tube and thought she could bring alot to the project.Unfortunately, I spread myself just a little to thin and missed my appointment.I hope to still have her as a part.

A february afternoon in Oakland California
thank you everyone for being a part of my life.
You mean alot more than you know.

Pep Talk
Sometimes life throws us all curveballs and were left to decide what to do.
If it was easier, than it would'nt be life now would it?
Even from a rooftop it's impossible to see the future of whats to come..just make the best of what you got and the rest will fall into place.

February
I spoke with my mom again today after she drove herself to the hospital. My sister has alot of weight on her shoulders and i feel like i can't do anything at all 3500 miles away.I love my family and most can't relate to what i have currently going on in my life and that's what makes it hard.At times i wish i had never left jersey for the things i have lost and not being there to say bye.
scared would be safe to say,
i feel like i abandoned my family and put my wants in front of their needs.
and with that being said i'll stop bringing you down with my current mindstate.
Everything always has a way getting better and i know it will..
This shot of Max MacVeety of the Crown City Rockers was taken the same day i grabbed the shots for caughtinthescramble vol.2

He's a good guy and as well i'm honored to have him in the book.
night ya'll

Here
So i haven't posted since the new year and not since my return from visiting with my family in new jersey that was 3 years overdue.I think it was a mixture of the trip back home and the things that have been on my mind recently that kept me away from gettin my blog on.My apologies to anyone who checks the site for not updating and keeping you all posted on what has been goin on with me but, for the longest time i have been focused on others instead of myself and i desperately needed to do something with my craft and break out of the vicious cycle i was in.It was decided about a month ago that i make my second book of caught in the scramble about others instead of another volume of my street work.I have met and networked with so many interesting and inspiring people in the past few years that i wanted to pay a little homage to those who are out there doing incredible things and helping the world become a better place for all of us.The book is a long way from being done but, i have been blessed to say the least to have so many local people that i look up to willing to be a part of my project.
Designers, comedians, artists, community activists, teachers, producers, dancers, bikers, skaters, singers, songwriters,dj's.mc's,femcees, musicians of all types ect..
It most definitely has alot to do with the desire to let others know how much of an inspiration they truly are.The desire to branch out and take chances and opportunities with my photography and the desire to ultimately connect other members of the human race with each other thru my work.
i'll keep you all posted as the days pass.
in between the photoshoots that i have been doing, i still take the time to capture what i love the most.
The Street
stay blessed ya'll

And since I'm grippin up that 5D Mark II soon
i Figured i'd show you the quality of the video that will def help with my side cinematography projects.
